The Importance of Life Insurance to OFW's

If you're working abroad, your family, relatives or friends we can discuss how important and vital to have a life insurance. Here is why..

Working overseas or abroad is a risky decision. Yet we still choose to work in different faraway countries just to provide a better future for our family. Considering the danger, Filipino are known to be strong and matiisin.

"Kaya ko toh, para sa pamilya ko"

"Itutulog ko lang pagod, makapgaral lang sila junior".

Here are the most likely dangers that our OFW's facing when they work abroad:

1. Seaman / Seafarers / Flight Crews - One of the dangerous jobs, they risk their lives from sea storms, sea accidents, and pirates. They have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, hence they deserved to be insured.

2. OFW / OCW / Housekeeper - The risk of accident, maltreatment (leading to hospitalization) or even death by the hands of your/their 'amo' (we've heard a lot of these).

3. Healthcare Professionals/Doctors/Nurses - Aside from accident, there is a danger of getting infected with disease.

4. Office Jobs / Clerk / Other Jobs - Accident, danger of losing job, danger of being illegally recruited, among others.

OFW's should be aware that in buying their planned house and car, they should also consider getting a Life Insurance. Yes, getting one will make sure that your dream house and car will come true. You don't want all your sacrifices be in vain. The life insurance will serve as an umbrella to you and to your family members, not using your savings once you got into an accident, critical illness or death.

(Important to Remember: All pertinent insurance application documents should be signed here in the Philippines to make the policy valid.)
